About Playing at CMD
Colorado Mountain Distillers is a restaurant, bar, and live music venue in Guffey, Colorado — elevation 8,500 feet. We host live music Thursday through Sunday and love supporting local and regional artists across all acoustic and amplified genres.
We run an honest room. Shows start on time, we feed our performers, and we pay when we say we will. We ask the same straightforward approach in return.
Available Performance Nights
We book live music on the following nights:
- Thursday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday (Brunch): 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Sets are typically 2–3 hours with breaks. We're flexible — talk to us.
Stage & Sound
- Covered outdoor stage with power and lighting
- In-house PA system: QSC main speakers, Yamaha board, 4-channel monitor mix
- Wired microphone stands available (bring your own mics if preferred)
- No dedicated sound engineer on-site — performers manage their own mix from stage
- Load-in: 2 hours before showtime
- Parking for band vehicles adjacent to stage
What We Provide
- Green room / staging area with seating
- One complimentary meal per performer from our kitchen menu during load-in
- Water and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the night
- Bar tab discounts for performing artists
- Event promotion: social media posts, website calendar, and email newsletter
- Photography welcome — we share what we take
Fee & Payment
- We welcome your proposed fee in the request form — all budgets considered
- Payment by cash or check night-of, after the final set
- We do not require exclusivity; you may book other venues before or after your date
- Tips from the tip jar are entirely yours
Our Audience
Guffey draws a mix of locals, mountain visitors, and weekenders from Colorado Springs and the Front Range. Our crowd loves Americana, roots rock, country, blues, folk, and acoustic acts. That said, we're open to surprises — if you play something good, they'll listen.
Typical Friday/Saturday draw: 60–120 people. We don't charge a cover but encourage artists to promote to their own following.
House Rules
- All performers must be 18+. Artists under 21 may not consume alcohol on premises.
- No pyrotechnics, fog machines, or open flame effects.
- Volume must stay within county noise ordinance after 9:00 PM.
- Load-out must be complete within 1 hour of show end.
- Any equipment damage caused by performer or crew is performer's responsibility.
